We cover Orange, Osceola, Lake, Polk, Seminole and Volusia County. Design wind speeds, whether a property sits in the wind-borne debris region, and which office issues the permit all change across that footprint — sometimes across a single street.
That matters because it changes what the code requires on your roof. Sealed-deck underlayment is required on every Florida reroof now. Deck re-nailing with ring-shank nails applies to homes permitted before the Florida Building Code took effect. And roof-to-wall retrofits are required on existing single-family homes inside the wind-borne debris region with an insured value of $300,000 or more. We establish which of those apply to your address before quoting, not after.

JAC Builders runs two divisions with separate crews. Greater Orlando work is run out of Orlando and Tampa Bay out of Odessa, so the roofers on your roof are the ones who work that county — not a crew sent across the state for the week. A roofer who drives two hours to a job is a roofer who is not there when it leaks.
Where we bring in subcontract crews — and most roofing companies in Florida do, at volume — they carry their own state licence and their own workers' compensation, and we ask for both certificates before they set foot on a property. We would rather tell you that plainly than claim every roofer on every job is on our payroll.

What areas does JAC Builders serve?
Two Florida metros, on two separate phone lines. Is the roof inspection really free?
Yes. Inspection, photographs and a written roof report, with no obligation, whether or not you hire us. You keep the report.
How much does a roof replacement cost in Florida?
Roofing is priced per square — 100 sq ft of roof. A single-storey 2,000 sq ft Florida home is usually 22–26 squares. On that, architectural shingle generally runs $11,000–$20,000, concrete tile $25,000–$55,000 and standing-seam metal $20,000–$45,000. Market ranges, not quotes — pitch, storeys, layer count and decking condition move them. The free inspection produces your number.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. JAC Builders holds Florida state certifications as a certified general contractor (CGC1531030) and a certified roofing contractor (CCC1334352), and carries general liability and workers' compensation coverage. We'll provide the certificates before work starts.
Do you help with insurance claims?
Yes, up to the line the law draws. We document the damage thoroughly, give you a written photographic report, and meet your adjuster on the roof. We don't file on your behalf, take an assignment of benefits, or offer to cover deductibles — Florida law is specific about all three.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, through Service Finance — plans from around $99.59 a month, a 12-month no-interest option, longer fixed-rate terms, and no prepayment penalty.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most single-family shingle roofs are done in one to two days. Tile and metal typically run three to six days because the material is heavier and the detailing is slower.
