Privacy Policy

Effective 27 October 2026. This policy describes exactly what this website collects, who it is sent to, and what is stored on your device. It names every third party involved rather than referring to them as "partners", because you cannot make a decision about a company you have not been told the name of.

What you give us directly

If you call, text, or complete the quote form, we collect and store:

• Your first and last name
• Your phone number and, where you give one, your email address
• The property address — street, city, state, ZIP and county
• What you told us about the roof: the work you need, how urgent it is, the roof's pitch and measured size, and any note you added
• The consent wording you agreed to, and the date and time you agreed to it

What we collect automatically

• Your IP address and browser user-agent string, recorded with the form submission. We also count submissions per IP address for two hours to stop automated abuse.
• How you found us — the advertising campaign parameters in the link you arrived on (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) and the Google click identifier (gclid), so we know which advert produced an enquiry.
• Standard server logs kept by our host, Cloudflare.
• A hidden anti-spam field. If it is filled in — which a person never does, but automated software often does — the enquiry is flagged for review rather than discarded.

Who your information is sent to

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to lead-generation networks or marketing lists. It goes to these companies, for these reasons, and no others:

• Cloudflare — hosts this website and the database your enquiry is stored in.
• Resend — delivers the email that tells us you enquired.
• Google — three separate services. As you type an address, what you type is sent to the Google Places API to suggest matches. Once an address is chosen, its coordinates go to the Google Solar API, which measures the roof from aerial imagery, and to Google Static Maps to draw the map you see.
• Photon (Komoot) — an alternative address lookup used only if Google's is unavailable.
• Roofle — if your property is in our Central Florida area, we hand you to RoofQuote PRO to price the roof on screen, and we pass it your name, phone number, email address and property address so you do not have to type them again. Tampa Bay enquiries are not sent to Roofle.
• Service Finance — only if you apply for financing. Your application is handled under their privacy policy, not ours. We do not see your credit information.

Advertising and analytics on this site

This site loads three tracking tags, each of which sets its own cookies and reports your visit to the company that operates it, under that company's own privacy policy:

• Google Analytics (measurement ID G-ZJSCKFBXV2) — how the site is used.
• Google Ads conversion tracking (AW-11146471820) — whether an advert led to an enquiry.
• Meta pixel (ID 4230841930465042) — the same, for Facebook and Instagram advertising.

Two further features load inside the page from other companies and may set their own cookies: the Roofle quote tool, and the Owens Corning shingle viewer, which additionally loads two display libraries from the cdnjs network. This site loads no web fonts from outside servers.

What is stored on your device

Separately from the cookies above, this site stores two small values in your browser so it can remember which part of Florida you are looking at and which phone number to show you. They are named jacDivision and jacDivisionPicked, they stay on your device, and they are never sent to us or to anybody else. Clearing your browser data removes them.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The quote tool and the shingle viewer rely on them, so those two features may stop working if you do.

Calls and texts

If you submit the form, we will call you. That is the point of the form — it exists so a roofer can get back to you about your roof — and we may text you as well, at the number you gave us, including by automated means. The consent wording you agree to is shown on the form itself, above the button, and we store it word for word alongside your enquiry together with the time you agreed to it.

Agreeing is not a condition of buying anything from us. If you would rather not be contacted this way, call us on (813) 920-9644 instead and we will not use the number for anything else. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or just say so on a call. Message and data rates may apply. Opting out of marketing does not stop us contacting you about work already in progress — if we are on your roof, we will still ring you about your roof.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we may still need them for the work, for warranty purposes, or to meet Florida record-keeping requirements for licensed contractors. The two-hour abuse counter and our cached Google reviews expire automatically. Ask us to delete your record and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Other times we may disclose it

Where the law requires it or in response to valid legal process, and to protect our legal rights, our customers, or our property.

Data security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to other sites

This site links to third-party websites, including our social media profiles, our Better Business Bureau listing, our Owens Corning contractor profile and the Florida state licence database. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Your choices

You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and opt out of marketing at any time. Call (813) 920-9644 or email info@jacbuildersfl.com and we will deal with it. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will post the revised version on this page with a new effective date. Where the change is significant we will say what changed.
