What we get called out for
Gutters overflowing in every afternoon storm
Usually undersized downspouts rather than clogged gutters. Florida rainfall intensity overwhelms the 2x3 downspouts builders default to.
Rotten soffit or fascia behind the gutter
Water that has been running behind a gutter for a season takes the fascia with it. This is a roof-edge problem and it's best fixed while the roof is already open.
Water damage inside after a roof leak
Ceilings, drywall, insulation and paint. Doing it under the same contract as the roof means one schedule and one point of responsibility.
Adding solar to a roof that's near end of life
Mounting panels on a roof with five years left means paying to remove and reset them later. Do the roof first, then the panels — the sequence saves real money.

What exterior work do you do besides roofing?
Gutters and downspouts, soffit and fascia, exterior painting, siding and exterior renovation, and interior work including drywall, ceilings, insulation and paint. On solar, the work we do most is taking an existing array off for a reroof and putting it back — see below.
Can you re-roof under my solar panels?
Yes, and it is one of the jobs we are asked for most. The array comes off, the roof is replaced underneath, and the panels go back on the new covering with new flashings at every mount. It has to be sequenced with whoever holds the solar warranty, because disconnecting and reconnecting the system is their side of the line, not ours — we coordinate that rather than working around it. Several of our Google reviews are from exactly this job.
Why use a roofer for gutters?
Because the gutter, drip edge, fascia and roof edge are one detail. Split across two trades it becomes nobody's responsibility when it leaks.
Should I replace my roof before installing solar?
If the roof has less than about ten years left, yes. Removing and reinstalling an array to re-roof underneath it typically costs thousands, and some installers won't warranty panels mounted on an aged roof.
Do you handle permitted renovation work?
Yes. JAC Builders holds a Florida certified general contractor licence (CGC1531030), which covers permitted structural and renovation work statewide.
Can interior repairs be part of a storm claim?
Frequently, yes, when the interior damage came from the same covered event. Having one contractor document and perform both keeps the scope consistent.
